I’m so glad I stumbled upon this article by Derek Hadley on LinkedIn for its forward thinking angle on how we use email. It reminded me that we should be making email work for us, not the other way round. The main highlights for me were:

  • Constant attention to email leads to feeling ‘always-on’ with no clear space to think.
  • The author switched from daily processing to once a week – won’t work for everyone, but the concept of taking more control by selecting when to process emails is key.
  • Requires changing expectations of others – tricky as it’s the social norm but worth it!

So are you brave enough to make a change? Your thinking brain will thank you! For full article click here.
